Breastfeeding
Here at WIC, we know that breastfeeding is very important to a baby's nutrition, and that's why we are here to help you every set of the way. Our lactation specialists are available to help you and your baby in your breastfeeding journey.
Breastfeeding provides a variety of benefits for both baby and mom. Not only does it provide all the nutrition your baby needs, but it also strengthens the bond between mom and baby
Here are some of the other reasons why breastfeeding is a great choice:
-
Helps mom get back to pre-pregnancy weight
-
Gives your baby all the antibodies they need to fight infections
-
Reduce the chance of obesity for baby
-
Reduces stress between both mom and baby
-
Baby is less likely to develop asthma and allergies
WIC also has many handouts for Breastfeeding assistance and support groups.
-
And much more!
