Developmental Screenings​

 

We provide free developmental screenings to all families with children age 0-5 utilizing the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ).

What is a Developmental Screening and why should your child have one?
Developmental Screenings are used to help identify if your child is meeting their developmental milestones. It can also help identify areas to focus on to prepare your child to enter school ready to learn and achieve their highest potential.

​

What does a Developmental Screening include?
The Ages and Stages Questionnaire that is used at the Family Connection explores a child's skills in the following areas:

  • Speech

  • Gross Motor / Fine Motor

  • Physical Abilities

     

Who get the results?

The results will be tabulated and provided to families through the Hanford and Lemoore Family Connection Programs. Staff at each center are available to discuss the results with parents/caregivers and to provide ideas that will assists families in strengthening the child's school readiness skills prior to kindergarten entry.
